Mobo is a Slovenian-Macedonian producer with a new debut release for Dobar House

Who are you, and what do you do?

Hi my name is Matic Petrovski from Slovenia with my ancestors coming from Macedonia. I am a creative person working in various art fields such as music production, DJ-jing and graphic design. I am also a promoter, event organizer and music label owner.

How did your latest release on Dobar House come to be? Tell us about how you started the EP, what inspired you, etc.

Well, I have been producing music of various genres for about 12 years, but lately I started to produce more music in the genre of House. As I started to engage more in the Zagreb club life I came across with amazing Dobar House events and their music and I felt connected immediately. Soon I realized I should share my tracks with Tom and this was the right thing and here I am happy now with my debut EP released on Dobar House.

There are many things that inspired me while producing this EP, but mostly I was inspired by the clubbing sound from "back then" when I was first introduced to House music about 15 years ago.  

Where was your favorite gig so far, and why was it special for you?

As a DJ I am mostly active in my home country Slovenia, yet I have played some interesting gigs abroad. I will definitely remember playing at Space Ibiza - Premier Etage at Vagabundos Closing 2017. Ibiza has the magic thing, you can find the special moments there, I can't describe it differently.

If you had to choose: would you choose DJing or producing?

I am more into production lately, but DJing is the thing I have mastered with passion and enjoy the most.

What's next for you in the coming months?

I have a few gigs left in the summer season in Slovenia and another great release with two of my tracks is coming out on French label Zingiber Audio in August. Expect more House music from me 😛

Why is Dobar House the best label on planet Earth?

It collects interesting authentic House sounds and it develops amazing joyful vibes at the events.
